Enjoy your first day in Sri Lanka relaxing on the golden beaches and in the charming city of Negombo.

Take a stroll around the Negombo town, famed as the little Rome of Sri Lanka with a history that dates back to the thirteenth century. The landscape of Negombo still stands true to its history of serving as a colonial city and a famous port town to Sri Lankans, Moors, Portuguese, Dutch and the British with its majestic Dutch Fort and an intricate canal system that runs 100km from Colombo in the South to Puttlam in the north along with many beautiful churches.

Just two hours away from Negombo, you will find yourself in Kalpitiya, one of the few locations in Sri Lanka that allows you to witness the wonder of Whales and Dolphins who adorn the beautiful Indian Ocean.  Large pods of Spinner Dolphins could be found within a just one hour boat ride from Kalpitiya harbour while Sperm Whales and Blue Whales are found in large pods near the Bar reef between the Months of April to November. During the latter part of the day, you will get to explore the country’s largest coral reef, situated off the Dutch Bay.

Your third morning in Sri Lanka will bring you an adventure of a lifetime.
You will get to explore a unique treasure hidden away in the far depths of the Ocean. The entire morning will be yours to dive and explore the wreck of a Royal Air Force fighter bomber, which despite crashing over fifty years ago, is in great form. During your underwater experience you may even sight large moray eels, as well as a bounty of other beautiful marine life.

Spend the rest of your time in Negombo cruising along the colonial Dutch canals and make your way to Colombo for the night to enjoy some fabulous shopping, partying or a quiet fine dining experience at a exquisite restaurant in the city.

After experiencing the bustling financial capital of Sri Lanka, you will make your way to Hikkaduwa.

This drive along the coast will allow you to feast your eyes on the turquoise Indian Ocean.
While in Hikkaduwa you will get the chance to indulge in yet another series of exciting dives. Your afternoon can be spent discovering the beautiful oceans in the area with an evening dives in Hikkaduwa’s exciting wreck diving sites.

This morning can also begin with dives in your preferred locations. After a wonderful few days filled with diving and exploring the ocean, you will make way to Mirissa following lunch. En route, you will get to spend a short time at the Dutch Galle Fort and Galle maritime museum.

Mirissa is yet another great location to spot marine life in Sri Lanka. A short boat ride to the middle of the ocean during day break will let you witness a number of magnificent ocean creatures. Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, Bottle Nose Dolphins, Common Dolphins and Spinner Dolphins grace the waters of Southern Seas from Weligama to Mirissa and can be found within just eight to ten nautical miles from Mirissa harbor.
